This Week In Zombies (Jan 30 – Feb 5)

The folks over at the dystopia-loving site Quiet Earth have posted a link to a teaser for an animated CG film called “A.D.“.

From a partially local time (local to me in Denver that is) comes a stunning looking teaser for a post apocalyptic zombie film with it’s own style, one which they plan to make into a feature length film. Described as a “cg animated horror adventure”, this was written by Haylar Garcia with the movie teaser directed by Ben Hibon (Codehunters) and produced by Bernie Goldmann (300), Tarik Heitmann and Renee Tab.

They also have a link to an indepth interview which I suggest you check out. The art direction is exciting and unique and I think gets us beyond The Uncanny Valley comfortably so that we can enjoy some sloppy carnage. The trailer itself doesn’t really introduce anything new to the genre to us, but it is a well done trailer nonetheless.

Also from Quietearth.us is a trailer for a Chilean Zombie flick called “Blind Death“. The basic premise seems to be that Mercenaries accompany a team of scientists to a quarantine zone 15 years after infection. Then bad things happen. Includes awkward subtitling. The trailer seems a bit long to me but, meh, what can you do?
